I TALKED WITH SOME DRIVERS YESTERDAY FROM NATIONAL AND THEY ARE JUST AS CONCERNED AS WE ARE. THEY WANT THE UNION TO PASS OUT FLYERS AT THERE YARDS A.S.A.P. AND GET THE TEAMSTERS TO HAVE A HUGE MEETING IN LOS ANGELES WITH ALL DIVISIONS. THEY LOST SO MUCH WHEN FEDEX TOOK OVER. LETS GET THIS DONE BROTHERS.
Sounds like everyone is fired up so lets see the support this saturday around 2.00 pm in the garden at raging waters. Be counted or be a loser. Teamsters in the house homies, I mean brothers.
They do have events sponsored by the teamsters like baseball games etc.
I was talking to a organizer in Sacramento last month and he was at UPS freight BBQing for the members until midnight that day.
And as far as YRC, it isn't the teamsters that are making them close those terminals. It's the economy thats making them do this. Like Mike Zanoli said once " it wasn't the teamsters who closed down CF. It was "BAD management". He'd probably deny it now or say he doesn't remember, right Fresno! But I wasn't the only one there when he said it.
Makes you kind of worry about our company if it was "BAD" management ,huh Mike?
wow Fedex giving us a bbq or raging waters while the Fedex management take away our health care. They really care about our families. yeah right. They can keep their bbqs and raging waters if I made more money per hour and paid less on my medical insurance oh i forgot they are soon going to take my insurance away from me and my family so i guess i wont have to pay for my insurance. right Andy Lessin? Greatest place on earth to work Andy? I think not.

Beware of becoming a part time driver, it is already starting in Whittier service center. And it is not driver volunteering, but company mandotary....

How often do the Teamsters have BBQ's at the centers?
How about the 200 locations that YRC is going to close in the next 10-14months?? They (YRC) are saying it will hurt 14,000--20,000 Teamsters.
