Teamsters Canada is receiving reports that in some areas FedEx may be conducting anti-union one on one and/or group meetings that are designed to scare their own employees. There are reports that meetings might have even been held with casual employees telling them that unionizing will cost them their jobs.

I guess David Binks lied when he said in his letter to the employees that,"you will not face any threats or reprisals from FedEx Express Canada for your choice."

This sounds like Fedex Canada is doing the same thing Whittier Fedex is doing.
Be ready my canadians brothers and sisters that David Binks, Andy lessin, Mike Hutton, John hinkley ,Russ, Mike Cendejas are part of the lying management from fedex corporation union busters im sure David Binks will get a reason to fire any union organizer just the way our brothers Jesse Lopez in Whittier ca and Tito Ayala in Anaheim ca were fired by fedex freight management for being union organizers just like the fedex pilots is your" EMPLOYEES FREE CHOICE" to become part of the union labor movement so don't let those union busters to scare you im sure the canadians teamsrers got good lawyers waiting to help you in case fedex express retaliate against any brothers and sisters or be intimidated or fired good luck yours fedex freight brothers and sisters CALIFORNIA U.S.A

First Corporate shows you an anti-union video on how the union will invade your life and that the union will be after your union dues. Then Corporate started slashing full time dockwokers into part time workers and taking their full benefits away, and still Corporate has the nerves to tell you we don't need the union. Next Corporate started slashing our Line drivers, and putting them into our docks while the junior drivers runs the prime runs, and also slapping our linedrivers in the face by allowing outside scab carriers taking their work away, and Corporate stills tells you line drivers we don't need a union!. Now Corporate invades your home by sending you a post card and telling you folks that the unions are unnecessary at FedEx Freight and FedEx national LTL. Let me tell you something FedEx Corporate you have invaded our homes and have created animosity and confliction between family members who are in unions. Some of us are spouses of union jobs, or our fathers and mothers are members of unions and also brothers and sisters are members of unions. Corporate how do you think family members feel about FedEx now when you come into our home and insult them? Some of this members of unions put food on your tables cause you haul their freight, way to go Corporate.
SO WHATS TAKING SO LONG TO GET THIS DONE. WHY NOT FROM A UNION HERE AND NOW AT WHITTER AND LET THE MOVEMENT BEGIN BEFORE WE LOSE MORE EMPLOYEES TO THIS BULL CRAP. IF THE TEAMSTERS WANT IN NOW IS THE TIME.
AS A DOCK WORKER WHO GAVE ALMOST 20YEARS TO THE FREIGHT INDUSTRY IM PROUD TO SAY I WAS A VIKING FOR 15 YEARS AND I DID EVERYTHING I COULD TO HELP MAKE VIKING GREAT. I GAVE 110 % TO FEDEX AS WELL AND I WAS ALWAYS WILLING TO GO THE EXTRA MILE FOR THEM TOO. FEDEX SCREWED ME AND MY FAMILY OVER WHEN THEY TOOK AWAY MY FULL TIME STATUS AND MY BENEFITS. I AM SORRY I GAVE THEM 5 YEARS AND HELPED THEM BE ONE OF THE BEST TRUCKING COMPANYS AROUND, IM ALSO SORRY I HELP THEM KEEP THERE CLAIMS DOWN, AND IM SORRY I TURNED IN EMPLOYEES WHO DID WRONG OVER THE YEARS. BEING A HOURLY EMPLOYEE THEY USED ME AND THEN SCREWED ME OVER. ANY TIME I HAVE A CHANCE TO MOVE FREIGHT TO ANOTHER CARRIER I WILL DO SO. I WILL ALSO DO MY BEST TO SHOW THE GENERAL PUBLIC THEY SUCK AND IF I HAVE A CHOICE, UPS FREIGHT OR SAIA WILL GET OUR LOADS FROM NOW ON. SCREW YOU FEDEX. Ex;You've hit the nail on the head.With a Teamsters contract ALL this B.S. would stop immediately,and;if it didn't a grievance woold be filed and the process would begin to determine if the practice was legal and/or within the terms of the contract.
All that's happening here and elsewhere on these type sites is a recounting of what Fedex is doing to you and what OUGHT to be done about it.Well since approximately 7/14/08 Fedex has been doing exactly what it wants and as of 10/04/09 all that's been done is to relay the injustices being rendered to you.
There comes a time that talk ceases and actions begin.Don't you think a year,two months and 20 days is long enough to TALK about it?
It's time to step out of the shadows and act like men/women being treated unjustly.If you don't we'll continue to relate the wrongs Fedex renders you.AND,incidently,they OBVIOUSLY aren't too worried about your postings.
Two or three people cannot do all the work to get you on a level field with Fedex with a Teamsters contract.YOU and YOU and YOU must do your part.

Did you ever wonder?? It was a sad day Friday October 2, 2009 when Tim Killilee the Central Regional Manager was walked out the gate in Sacramento. The official word from Fed Ex is that Tim Killilee know longers works for Fed Ex Freight.
Well,why do I mention it here and now?
Simply to point out to you middle(and lower)management types that YOU are not as secure in your position as you may think.Even after all you've done to fulfill Fred Smith's Purple Shafts.That is putting the shaft to loyal hourly employees all in the name of the bottom line.
I'm sure that a substantial reason was posited for escorting Tim off the premises;but,equally substantial reasons are/were posited when loyal hourly employees were rendered the same treatment.You,perhaps gave youself an ,"Atta Boy",for carrying out Fred's dictums;and,no doubt, knew that you have solidified your importance as a team player,etc,etc,etc.
Truth is that as Fred trims down the hourly ranks YOUR position is being evaluated.So if your making too many $$$$ and Fred thinks he can do more with less YOU'RE HISTORY.
Keep your resume' updated you'll need it.Then too you will not be able to use any of your former colleagues as references,you will be ostracized-an untouchable.Also,I wouldn't attempt to use any of the hourly people you jettisoned-they may have an axe to grind.
A thought,join us in securing a Teamsters contract.
